    1. [PAMERCER] To any Richael/Ryhal researchers for Mercer
    2. I've made a wonderful break through. I found Henry Richael's wife's maiden name. It's Shearer. I'm just so excited, I wanted to share. Henry and Elizabeth had 11, perhaps 12 children. I find it odd that I've not found one cousin. Of the 11 or 12 children, there were three daughters. Elizabeth, Catherine and Margaret. Margaret Richael married Peter Urey. I've not found husbands for the other two. Will notify the list when I do. Most of the boys are on the Mercer and Lawrence census', and on the early Mercer tax lists. To give a brief history, Henry Riegel, note spelling, was born in Berks Co., PA. His and Elizabeth's children were baptized in York Co., PA. I've not found a marriage record, only the baptism of 11 children. Henry and Elizabeth appear on the 1803 Mercer tax list for the first time. They are on the 1850 census for Wilmington Twp. Now, I just have to prove their parents. All help appreciated, cousins wanted. Karen Patterson

    3. Sallie, The oldest Jennings ancestor I can identify is William Jennings, born in Ireland about 1804. Someone did a lookup for me and found a naturalization record that said he was born in County Cork, Ireland, and came to PA in 1826. I have also been told that they might have been relatives or friends of the Boyds, since they came from the same place at about the same time. I have no idea if your Jennings are related to mine, although it seems possible, since they have the same name and are in the same place. Your Levi is the right age to be a brother or cousin to my William. I have wondered if William's father was John, and if an entire extended family came at the same time. I would like to find a death record or obituary for my William (I think he died 1850-1860), but so far haven't found one. If you do find a connection, pleast let me know. Do you complain about that? before the internet, and internet phone books like www.superpages.com anyone could call 411 or 555-1212 and get your address/phone number. Personally it doesnt bother me that my name/address is out there on the net. Thing is, when i did a search for my name/address, i came up with several hundred entries:-) Guess which one is me. there were 20 some in my own area code. Still a tricky project. 2. Hi, I never list my full name, mailing address, nor my phone number on-line. My phone number is unlisted with the phone company. However, a few people I have swapped information with privately, have taken it upon themseleves to use my full name and address as a source on their web site without asking me if that was ok. Although, I appreciate the fact that they used sources- it was not something that I expected to see on the internet. I think it is in everyone's best interest to ask permission before posting someone else's personal information on the internet. Even my 5 year old son's name and birthdate is listed on someone's web site, against my wishes. Every message we send on a genealogy list and every post that we make on a forum is there for the whole world to see, like it or not. 3. Even though I pay to keep my name, phone number and address unlisted if I put an article in the newspaper with that information included it's there for all to see. Every time someone researches that article they will get that information. Heck, I provided it in a public forum. It's no different than shouting it on a street corner. ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, March 21, 2003 11:29 AM Subject: Re: [PAMERCER] Invasion Of Privacy? > In a message dated 3/21/2003 11:25:25 AM Pacific Standard Time, > [email protected] writes: > > > So I > > also went on Google and typed in my first and last name. 1. [PAMERCER] M. Wallace
    2. Dorothea Silbert
    3. In 1840 in Mercer Co census there was a female M. Wallace 90 - 100. I think it was Mahoning Twp(later to become Pulaski). Before her in the census was William Wallace and family. I believe he was her youngest son. In 1830 William had a female living in his household 80 - 90. I am only guessing that she was the wife of Hugh Wallace 1742 - 1820 buried in the Plain Grove Cemetery. Wm died in 1871 at age 81. Elizabeth Wallace Armstrong (sister to William) lived to be 100 and was written up in the New Castle News in 1888.Any help on these Wallaces would be appreciated. Robert Wallace another brother was alive in 1856 or 1857 when he signed a deed. He was born in 1775 so would be 82, but I can find nothing to say when or where he died. He was my GGG grandfather.
