Came to the U.S. with his wife Mary, probably in the late 1860s, and had nine children - Mary, Jennet, Joseph, Agnes, Cassy, Margaret, Davinny, John, and Annie. Would love to speak with any descendant of this family. John MEHL of Sharpsville, b. Alsace-Lorraine, 1835. Daniel was from Mercer CO and d. 1870. Have found that same family spelled a number of ways on census reports. Wonder if Daniel could be a brother of your Phillip. Mathews is my family line, but there maybe another marriage with a Klingensmith from Mercer. I have a friend here that is part of that family, but can't get him interested in genealogy.
