Forwarded from List Admin - - Respond back to: Mary Lynne Nelson [email protected] Looking for descendants and ancestors of the following people: Archibald NELSON of Sharpsville, b. Scotland, May 1850, died Sharpsville, Mercer County, Mar 1832. He married Mary Jane WATSON, born in England. His three sons were Robert Nelson and John Nelson, both born in England; and Joseph Nelson, born 1893 in Stoneboro, Mercer County. Archibald was a coal miner and my great grandfather. John NELSON of Grove City, b. Scotland 1842. Came to the U.S. with his wife Mary, probably in the late 1860s, and had nine children - Mary, Jennet, Joseph, Agnes, Cassy, Margaret, Davinny, John, and Annie. Would love to speak with any descendant of this family. John MEHL of Sharpsville, b. Alsace-Lorraine, 1835. Married Sophia SWARTZFAGER and had four children, John J., Kate (married James Luce), Clara (married Benjamin Mitcheltree) and Charles E. Benjamin MITCHELTREE married Clara Mehl. Originally of Sharpsville, I believe. I know very little about this line. Mary Lynne Nelson [email protected]
Forwarded from list admin. Respond back to: Linda Doyle Genik [email protected] I have a Daniel Clinginsmith, b. 182?. m. 15 April 1847, Electra Mathews b. 1823, Kinsman, Trumbull CO, OH. Daniel was from Mercer CO and d. 1870. Have found that same family spelled a number of ways on census reports. Wonder if Daniel could be a brother of your Phillip. Mathews is my family line, but there maybe another marriage with a Klingensmith from Mercer. I have a friend here that is part of that family, but can't get him interested in genealogy. Your direct email did not come up, but if you send it to me at [email protected], I will continue to search. There is a lot of information in Mercer County History about this family. Linda Doyle Genik Livonia, MI
