Hello List, Although a former resident of Clairton and a graduate of Clairton High School (1960), not a resident of McKeesport, I have very fond memories of McKeesport. I worked at The Famous in the summer of 1960 and attended the Ken and Jean Dance Studio for several years during the 1950s. My roots are deep in the area. My 2X great grandparents STEN/STONE came from Sweden to McKeesport in 1892, but they were preceded by all of their children, many of whom worked and resided in McKeesport. My great grandparents JOHNSON, resided at two different locations on Willow Street during the early 1900s. Great grandfather, Joseph E. NORRIS, was a policeman/police chief, in Glassport, from 1901 to 1905. Having recently retired from 32.5 years of teaching, in another state, I am enjoying the teacher comments.
