Hi Anna Jerome St is now called Lysle Blvd.It is located one block nearer the Mon River and Parralel with 5th ave. It extends the entire length of the city. In the early 1900s it was a 2 lane road but now it is a 4 lane rd. The homes were torn down to make room for the widening of the road. I believe there is one old home still there near the east end of town. . There are some old pictures of the area ,I have seen some at the McKesport Heritage Center. George may have some on his website--Not sure. Alot of the buidings were apartments on the 2&3rd floors with a store on the first floor and there were some large homes as well. McKeesport was the home of National Steel Tube Works and there were many coal mines in the area as well--so yes immigrants would have come here --there was plenty of work. ---Donna
