Greetings, The responses that I am getting regarding East McKeesport are excellent. By the end of the week I am going to put in the newsletter the "Reasons Why I Shudda Went to E. McKeesport". I love this!!!. I hafta admit that I am learning something from the response I am getting. Uz guyz are good and always up to a challenge. Since I am in this mode let me ask this question.... If I get a picture of Irene's Pizza....the "Unnamed" dance thingy....da bus stop.... Eckert's Drug Store.... Reenie's Restaurant then I will have all the major sites in E. McKeesport? Da proof is in some pictures.... All kidding aside.... I think I remember E. McKeesport as being a place that mainly had housing. Not many other kinda places as it was so close to McKeesport proper and it was easy then to come into McKeesport to do things. Is my assessment pretty correct. Also I can't think of any Afro-Americans that resided in E. McKeesport. The time frame for me was 1944 - 1965 that I lived in McKeesport. Does anyone remember or know of the number of Afro-American families that resided in E. McKeesport.? It is a shame how little I know about E.
