Hello everyone: My grandfather settled in McKeesport in about 1913-14 thru 1921-22. I like to check back every now and then to see if any of my family names are out there....I would be looking for friends of the Demko Wozniak family, he married Sophia Sporniak and they lived on 915 Jerome St. My father, Paul, was born in 1916, he was baptized at St.John the Baptist (Ukrainian Greek Catholic). His godparents were Maximilian Peryak and Barbara Lesniak. There was a Lesniak family on Enterprise St. but I never got a chance to talk to them, don't know if they are still there. Sophia died of influenza in 1917 or 1918. My grandfather remarried Melania (Bil) Lesniak (she had a daughter, Ann, from her previous marriage) and they had one daughter together. They left McKeesport and lived in Detroit, Michigan for the rest of their life. I am always looking for anything at all about these people, no matter how small!
