    3. Hi listers, I just received a death certificate for a relative Margaret Weinell. She died June 18,1959 and is buried in Fairview Cemetery McKeesport. Can some one give me an exact location for this cemetery and if the records are available anywhere. Thank you Diane

    3. I would be interested in how to obtain records from there as well ! I Cant give you a location exactly but it is still active , I was there 2 years ago and there is a small house on the grounds with a caretaker but the overall condition of the cemetery is poor . With head stones knocked over , overgrown with grass and bushes . There was a new burial there at the time and I also noticed a Civil war head stone . 3. Rick, I got lots of response. The records are at the McKeesport Heritage Center. I went to the map on yahoo and it looks like the two cemeteries are on either sied of Coursin. Do you remember the two cemeteries? Which one is larger? Theres a large empty space on the map on the left and a smaller narrower one on the right. I'm going to try to locate who lives in the house on the grounds. Do you have a name you would like looked up should I become successful? I recall my mother , Anna Sabo Bailey saying that she lost her first baby after arriving in the U S. She was just 17 or 18 and came over as a young bride from what was Czechoslovakia. They stayed with grandparents of her husband. The baby was named John Baley, Bally, Bailey, .He must have been born around 1920-21. He might have been buried there in the Versailles place. They name rings a bell. Thanks, Take care, keep well, and God bless. Vera B. Holman , Las Vegas > Rick, > > I got lots of response. The records are at the McKeesport Heritage Center. 3. Fairview Cemetery is located on Versailles Avenue at the Huey Street end, in McKeesport. The Cemetery is split in half by Coursin St., one side being Fairview , the other side old St. Josephs Catholic cemetery. 3. Fairview Cemetery is bordered on one side by Versailles Ave and on the other side I think it is Coursin St. ( But Coursin may turn into Fairview) ,There are actually 2 Cemeteries here , with Coursin running between them. On one side is Fairview and I don`t know the name of the one on the other side of the st. Donna

    3. My mother was buried in Fairview Cemetery in November 2002 next to my father, BOYD grandparents, and BOYD great grandparents. At no time in the last several years have I found the grass "overgrown" There is a weather worn GAR grave marker next to my family's plot to the left of the dirt lane that runs the length of the center of the cemetery. I do not recall the man's name but the caretaker who lives there, probably does so rent free. He still has a deck of file cards that contain the records of burial. The Heritage Center has a transcript that was made several years back. I suggest a note to the center with an offer to pay for the search, and they can search for the records in the Daily News microfilms which were almost completely indexed at the time I moved south in 1999 as well as the cemetery transcript. Hope this helps.
