MCKEESPORT POLICE SEEK RELATIVES OF FALLEN OFFICERS (Feb 20,2003 DN) McKeesport police are searching for surviving familiy members of six officers who died in the line of duty many years ago. Police hope the relatives can accompany a representative to Washington, D.C., for a May 13, 2003, ceremony adding the officers' names to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial. The six officers and their dates of death are: John H. Sellman, March 18, 1936; Charles Bartlett, Nov 20, 1932; Max Lefkowitz, May 14, 1924; Charles F Paist, March 15, 1922; Anthony Hlavaty, May 16, 1917; and John E. Clifford, Dec 15, 1915. National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund, slated to host the 15th annual candlelight vigil as part of National Police Week, pays special tribute to former officers nationwide and other law enforcement agents who gave their lives in the line of duty. During the ceremony, the names of those officers newly engraved on the memorial will be read as part of the remembrance.
