Does anyone have information of the history of professional baseball in the McKeesport area? I recently learned the following: Hall of Famer Cy Young, while playing for Canton, Ohio, pitched I believe his last no hitter aqgainst the McKeesport team of the TriState league on July 25, 1890! He struck out 18 batters! This seems to have gone unnoticed today. The field was known as the "Little Boston" field near the bridge. I am told the field is long gone and not even a plaque is posted to commerate this feat!
