    3. Greetings Jim, I would indeed like to correspond with you (off list, of course). William H. Coyan was a member of the 9th, and in fact, someone connected with the 9th PA Reserve website (yourself perhaps) says that he was the first person from the 9th who was killed - murdered by a fellow Union comrade! I have much info on William's family. Some of it can be found here <http://www.zoomnet.net/~acoyan/WilliamTheakerCoyan.html> . His father (who was a brother to my 4th great-grandfather) was a prominent citizen of McKeesport, and was involved in early boat building in Elizabeth, PA, and later, the McKeesport steamship yards. For those who may not know, the first steamship built west of the Allegheny mountains was built in Elizabeth, PA. Anthony Coyan Jackson, OH -----Original Message----- From: James M. Company I also known as the McKeesport Union Guards was a part of this unit. I'm looking for information on any soldier that served in this unit. I have been working on this since 1994 and have amassed biographical information on the 1200+ soldiers who were a part of this unit. If you have a relative in this unit, I will share my info at no cost. Since I only have info on this one unit, I cannot provide information on any other regiment. Thanks.
