Rev. Douglass committed suicide in the garage behind the house I was living in. Needless to say my back yard was over run with police. Jim Loizes was chief then and I will never forget that he was carrying his very young daughter the whole time he was there. Rev. Douglass also had a daughter that wrote for the Daily News.
