Was told to look in the McKeesport area for information on ancestors listed in the 1870 as living in Elizabeth. Received information that while looking for shipbuilders and other families in the 1870 census in Elizabeth (AlleghenyCounty), PA, they came across Finley ALLSHOUSE and his family. Also, in the same borough was a Jackson & Henrietta ALTSHOUSE and their family. We were under the misunderstanding that they had always been coal miners, so the shipbuilding is something we need to look into for more information. Would like to know more about their lives while living in that area. Have information to share with anyone else researching the Allshouses. Laurie Beth Roman
