    2. Melodie Clarke
    3. Hi, I'm new to the list. My maiden name is Rensehausen(originally Renziehausen, according to my grandfather, it was changed). My grandfather had eight other brothers and sisters. Some of them lived in Pittsburgh or Philadelphia,PA and some lived in Pittsfield,MA. I just recently discovered that he had so many siblings in the course of my research. I know that there is a Renziehausen Park in McKeesport,PA. I would really appreciate any information anyone has on the park and its history. My grandfathers siblings were Lilian, James William,Benjamin T.,Harriet, Mattie, Mary, Bessie,Edward and Henry Rensehausen. If anyone has any information on them it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much. Melodie Clarke __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo! - Official partner of 2002 FIFA World Cup http://fifaworldcup.yahoo.com

    1. [PAMCKEESPORT] St. Stephen's Catholic Church - cemetery?
    2. Sharon Guerra
    3. Hi I'm looking for the most likely burial place for a parishioner of St. Stephen's (Magyar) Catholic Church in McKeesport circa 1911. Can anyone help? Would St. Joseph's cemetery on Grant Ave. be a reasonable choice? What other cemeteries would be "used"? I believe the church was formed in 1900. It was located on Seventh Street near Evans Avenue. I saw a reference to an address of 2423 Beacon St as of 1943. I don't know when the church was closed. Thanx, Sharon D. 1. [PAMCKEESPORT] Re: Looking for Alexander Spornak Obit
    2. Hello List: I recently found the above person (relative?) in the online "assessments" very close to the area where my relatives lived in McKeesport. In fact, they actually lived on the same block with the same familly/friends and also moved together to another street. (This is something I noticed my own family did) However, Alexander passed away in Nov. 2001, I figured it would be easy to find the obit (in the McKeesport Daily)? but it's not - I thought it would be online in the local paper/archives - can someone help or tell me where I can find it? Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks, Nancy Wozniak, Sporniak, Kyrychuk, Lesniak, Orenyak, Bil, Wolanyk, Zieja, Szymcuch, Mruz

    1. [PAMCKEESPORT] Re: PAMCKEESPORT-D Digest V02 #13
    2. Hello everyone: My grandfather settled in McKeesport in about 1913-14 thru 1921-22. I like to check back every now and then to see if any of my family names are out there....I would be looking for friends of the Demko Wozniak family, he married Sophia Sporniak and they lived on 915 Jerome St. My father, Paul, was born in 1916, he was baptized at St.John the Baptist (Ukrainian Greek Catholic). His godparents were Maximilian Peryak and Barbara Lesniak. There was a Lesniak family on Enterprise St. but I never got a chance to talk to them, don't know if they are still there. Sophia died of influenza in 1917 or 1918. My grandfather remarried Melania (Bil) Lesniak (she had a daughter, Ann, from her previous marriage) and they had one daughter together. They left McKeesport and lived in Detroit, Michigan for the rest of their life. I am always looking for anything at all about these people, no matter how small! Thanks, Nancy I am researching Wozniak, Sporniak, Kyrychuk, Zieja, Szymcuch, Mruz.

    1. Re: [PAMCKEESPORT] Menzie - James Andre, Mayor 1880's
    2. The Laughlin Family was connected with Menzie Dairy in the later years. The old "MENZIE" farm is now a retirement complex - no more draft horses - no more barn, nothing of the old days. I used to live down the road from the farm and loved watching the horses graze as we drove by. One of the Laughlin girls went to high school with me. They lived in White Oak Boro. Don't have alot more info, but if I can offer any help, please let me know. Kathy
