    3. Derek, Here's some info from one of the members on the McKeesport Message Board: As far as I know along time ago the Dingeldein family had a feud,The TRUE Dingeldeins kept the German spelling & the others used the dine ending.Alot of the family lived in the Bryn Mawr part of White Oak.The Ackerbergs were also related. My Grandfather Philip built a house on Wesley St. in the Grandview area,I was born in that house! He was a Mck.fireman.Still have a cousin George Dingeldein living on Monongahela Ave. in Amherst Terrace. His sister is Bette Ford, who used to be a bullfighter & now an actress.Their dad was Charlie Dingeldein who was killed by a Daily News truck YEARS ago in front of Johnnie Who's on Walnut St.The only young ones left are my sons, one in Irwin & one in VA. 1. [PAMCKEESPORT] official seal
    2. Donna Frederick
    3. I recently bought an official seal for a lodge . I am hoping someone can identify what organization this might be . The seal is round with these words around the edge . " Tube City Lodge 2290 - K & L of H - McKeesport ,Pa . In the center is a triangle with an anchor in the center of it .There are two crossed spears behind the triangle .In the points of the triangle are letters -- M , O & A. I believe K & L of H may stand for Knights and Ladies of Honor. I am wondering if this Lodge could be a part of a larger organization such as the Masons or Elks or Eagles etc. Thanks for help--Donna F

    1. [PAMCKEESPORT] Anyone recognize this location description?
    2. Does anyone recognize this description as a location in SWPA? Through a waterfall, down a ledge, to a pond below, past a log home, beyond a garden, to a small cemetery. I don't know exactly when the description is supposed to depict, I think it would be sometime between 1800 and 1845. Laurie Beth Roman

    1. [PAMCKEESPORT] Looking for Finley Allshouse, Elizabeth Ship Builder
    2. Was told to look in the McKeesport area for information on ancestors listed in the 1870 as living in Elizabeth. Received information that while looking for shipbuilders and other families in the 1870 census in Elizabeth (AlleghenyCounty), PA, they came across Finley ALLSHOUSE and his family. Also, in the same borough was a Jackson & Henrietta ALTSHOUSE and their family. We were under the misunderstanding that they had always been coal miners, so the shipbuilding is something we need to look into for more information. Would like to know more about their lives while living in that area. Have information to share with anyone else researching the Allshouses. Laurie Beth Roman

    3. Hi Melodie, I can't tell you any history of "Renzie" Park, but I can tell you that I spent many hours at the pool as a teenager in McKeesport. I don't think the pool is there anymore though. We also had many family picnics there and lots of Fourth's of July were spent there watching the fireworks. There used to be a kiddie pool with the overhead spray that my daughter loved as a child. And the playground was great. They had day camps there in the summer. This was all in the 60's and 70's. The last time I was in Pa. we went to the International Village still held at the park every year. I was surprised to find that the Park is not like it used to be and saddened that the pool is gone.
