Classification: Obituary Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/ZaB.2ACE/1341 Message Board Post: Post-Standard, The (Syracuse, NY) - June 27, 1990 Memorial services for Gretchen Saggesser Page, 98, a former resident of Pleasant Street who died Monday at Gerritt-Smith Infirmary, Eaton, will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the First Baptist Church of Canastota. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. A native of Bradford, Pa., Mrs. Page also lived in Kane, Pa., and resided most of her life in the Canastota area. She also lived several years in the Hazel Carpenter Home, Oneida, before moving to Eaton in 1987. She was a nurse for several years with the former Lenox Memorial Hospital, Canastota. Mrs. Page was the widow of George Hazen, who died in 1917, and of Claude R. Page, who died in 1960. Mrs. Page was a member of the First Baptist Church of Canastota and a life member and former president of the Canastota Parent-Teachers Association. She was a member and past patron of Canastota Chapter 64, OES, and a member of Oneida City Chapter 21, OES. Surviving are three grandchildren, Bruce Hazen of Canastota, Lois Loguidice of Nashville, Tenn., and Paula Frey of New London, Pa.; and several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Canastota. J. Homer Ball Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
