HODDICK A memorial service for Doris B. Hoddick, an active volunteer, will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in the Chapel in Forest Lawn. Mrs. Hoddick, 91, died Monday (Dec. 23, 1991) in her Williamsville home following a long illness. The former Doris Bovaird was born in Bradford, Pa., the youngest of 10 children. She attended LaSalle Junior College in Boston and came to Buffalo in 1925 after marrying Alvin C. Hoddick, now deceased. During World War II, when her husband went into the service, she headed his floor-covering business, Hoddick & Taylor. She was president of Zonta Club of Buffalo in 1975 at the same time he was president of Buffalo Rotary. She was active in volunteer work with Roswell Park Memorial Institute for 20 years and with Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital in Amherst for 10 years. She was president of the Town Club and a former board member of the Protestant Home. Survivors include two daughters, Dr. Nancy A. Hoddick and Sally B. Bender; a son, Weston B. of Fort Wayne, Ind., a sister, Helen Dennis of Independence, Kan.; 14 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
