ROBINSON, 78, DIES; WROTE NEWS LUCY LINCOLN COLUMN Services for Dorothy H. Robinson, a former writer of the Lucy Lincoln column in The Buffalo Evening News, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Church of the Transfiguration, Parkside and Tacoma avenues. Interment will follow in Rushville. Mrs. Robinson, 78, of Kenmore, died Tuesday (July 3, 1990) in Buffalo General Hospital after a short illness. She was born in Bradford, Pa., and attended Buffalo State Teachers College and Cornell University, where she graduated in 1934. Mrs. Robinson first worked for Niagara Mohawk Power Corp. as a home service representative. She then was director of the home service department of Southern Union Gas Co. in El Paso, Texas. She returned to this area and wrote about household tips as Lucy Lincoln in The News from 1957 to 1968. Mrs. Robinson then returned to Niagara Mohawk, where she worked again as a home service representative until her retirement in 1977. She was an active member of the Church of the Transfiguration, the American Home Economics Association and the Cornell Club, for which she supervised the annual Christmas cheese sale for many years. She also was active in the Sigma Kappa sorority alumni. She married the late Horace H. Robinson in 1940. Survivors include a daughter, Cadette Finewood of Newark, and two grandchildren.
