Hello Folks, I'm researching for my friend Jim. His father, Lester, (info in subject line) is the son of Lee M. and Emma Schoonover PHILLIPS. Jim's wife called Bradford some years ago an spoke with someone (in an official capacity) who gave her some info about Lester. The person even told the name of the doctor who delivered Lester. My question is this, are there birth records that far back for someone born in Bradford, PA? I realize that most counties started keeping them sometime after 1912, but thought I'd check to see if perhaps there were some earlier records in Bradford. If birth records are available, where do we write to request this information. Do you know the cost? My next step is to find Lee and Emma on the 1900 PA census. It seems that Lester had an older sibling. Thank you for any help or encouragement you could provide.
