    3. Hi Natalie Here is your William Woodworth in the Bradford 1898 City Directory: Woodworth Dellie, wid William, res 14 Bank St Woodworth William, lab, boards at 12 1/2 Bushnell Would Dellie be his mother? Here he is in the 1900 Census, listed as single born in NY... 1900 Census / PA / McKean / Other Townships / [Bradford City] ED # 95 [p 1 of 44 at ancestry.com] NARA: Image #142, Roll T623-1439, line 47 living in a boarding house at 38 Pearl Street, Bradford PA: WOODWARD, William MW 33 b May 1867 Single b NY parents both b NY general laborer 0 months out of work If you don't have access to the Census online, I'd be happy to look for him & his family in other years. Did you find him on the 1880 Census--it's free online? Bradford has a Landmark Society which can be accessed online (limited info) and you can call them M-W-F between 11am and 2pm; they are very helpful and will look things up for you. Sally Costik, their curator, has written books about various events in Bradford and there are pictures of volunteer fireman (1890s) in the first "Around Bradford" book. Although the firemen are not identified by name, you may be able to pick out your William if he is in one of them. I would be happy to scan and send a couple of the pages which cover your timespan if you are interested. You asked about obituaries and they are available on microfilm from the Bradford Public Library if you know the approx date it would have been published. The Landmark Society has an index which contains many of the obits that were listed in the Bradford Era... You might want to call them (Landmark Soc) for a lookup. They also have the Bradford City Directories which were published from about 1875 until sometime in the 1970s (generally every 2 years, altho' there are some years skipped during the wars or the depression). http://www.bradfordlandmark.org/ Bradford Landmark Society 45 E Corydon Street Bradford PA 16701 phone: 814-362-3906 If I can be of further help, let me know. Although I live in southwestern WV, I am currently working on families and businesses in Bradford after 1868. Katie
