Rossi Services for Rev. Frank M. Rossi, 79, of Dewittville, N.Y., were held at Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc. of Bradford, Pa. Rev. Rossi died Nov. 19, 2002, at WCA Hospital in Jamestown, N.Y. Born June 12, 1923, in Bradford, McKean County, Pa., he was the son of the late Dominick and Eva (Burton) Rossi. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Jamestown, in Jamestown, N.Y. He was a graduate of Bradford High School class of 1941. He continued his education and received a bachelor's of arts degree from Eastern University in St. Davids, Pa. in 1954, and then a master's of divinity in theology from Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Philadelphia on May 14,1957. He was ordained at the American Baptist Ministry in Osbornville, N.J. on Aug. 23, 1957. He was a member of the Amateur Radio Relay League & Amateur Radio Emergency Service and held a FCC Amateur Radio License. He served in World War II as a sergeant in the U.S. Army. He served in Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes and Central Europe. He received the American Theater Service Medal EAME Theater Service with four Bronze Stars and the World War II Victory Medal. Rev. Rossi served at Osbornville's First Baptist Church in Osbornville, N.J., then at First Baptist Church of Cranford, N.J., the Quidnick Baptist in West Warwick, R.I., the Edison Street Baptist Church in Buffalo, N.Y., which is the first Italian Baptist Church in America, then at the Painesville Baptist Church in Painesville, from where he retired in 1986, and moved to Mayville, N.Y. and then to Dewittville. Survivors are his wife, Madeline C. (Crane) Rossi, whom he married May 7, 1947, in Bradford, Pa. at the First Baptist Church; daughters, Rebecca L. Wilson of Dewittville and Barbara E. Rossi of Mayville, N.Y.; sister, Betty Stover; brothers, Richard, Mark and Dominick Rossi, all of Bradford.; grandchildren, Derek Wilson and Craig Wilson, both of Dewittville; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mary Edmonds on May 5, 2001; and daughter, Le Anne Marie Rossi in Jan. 1950. The Rev. Steven Moore, of Bradford Area Parish officiated at the service. Burial is at McKean Memorial Park in Lafayette, Pa. The family suggests contributions to First Baptist Church of Jamestown, 358 East 5th St., Jamestown, N.Y.
