Hi again several people have responded telling me I should find a machine such as at drug store ect. I was doing them myself. this box of photos was just found in my brother closet in the bottom of a box. there were photos in there of my grandparents and great grandparents .My great aunt is still living . In her 90s she wanted copies of some of these photos. there is no photogaphers name ,no number only the letter N on the back of the photos that I wanted.I did the photos myself but you have to take them up to the counter to have the total added up. I had a pile of 31 photos they went through each one I did and I had to show them the origianals. There was one of my father that I spent some time on enhancing .It came out quite well really did look professional but was from my grandfathers camera and I thought they were not going to let me have it . > I may be slow in getting this information, but I went to have my > pictures > copied on a kodak picture maker .Untill now I was able to copy > professional photos if they were 75 years old. > > Tonight I was told that any photo that was taken professionaly will > not > be aloud to be copied . I pointed out in the pamphlet they gave me > that > it said 75 years. > > They told me that there has been a federal law passed that you will > no > longer be aloud to copy any photo at all ,no matter how old they > are. > They are only waiting for the paperwork and offical word that they > can no > longer allow you to copy them .They couldnt show it to me so I > copied > mine. > > So if you have any professional photos that are 75 years old and > want > copies I suggest you run dont walk and have them done.If its not > already > to late. I suspect they made a sign or something as soon as I left > saying > were not to copy any professional photos. > > How we are suppoused to get copywrite permission from photographers > That > are over a hundred years ,old decesed ,and their studios are long > gone > ,and there are no markings on the photo except for a letter (example > N > )well thats just beyone my logical thinking .But then we are dealing > with > the government. > Robin > > > ==== OHTUSCAR Mailing List ==== > To UNsubscribe to OHTUSCAR-L, send a message to: > OHTUSCAR-L-request@rootsweb.com > with the word "unsubscribe" (without quotes) in the body. > > >
