PARKER, 77, of Clearwater died Wednesday at the Morton Plant Hospital. A native of Bradford, Pa., he moved to the area in 1983 from Cortland, N.Y. He was the owner and operator of Parker Pontiac in Cortland, a member of St. John's Episcopal Church, a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army Air Forces, past president of the Cortland Chamber of Commerce and past chairman of the Cortland Memorial Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Helene O.; two sons, Newton B. Jr. of Minneapolis, and Stephen D. of Matthews, N.C.; three daughters, Carole P. Thomas of Nashville, Tenn., Suzanne K. of Richmond, Va., and Jane P. Morris of Norfolk, Mass.; and 10 grandchildren. Moss-Feaster Funeral Homes, Belcher Road Chapel, Clearwater.
