Surnames: MUFFOLETTO Classification: Obituary Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/ZaB.2ACE/1384 Message Board Post: Buffalo News, The (NY) - April 24, 1993 ANGIE MUFFOLETTO, OWNED CHOCOLATE SHOP A Mass of Christian Burial for Angie Muffoletto, 72, of Williamsville, former owner of Suzette's Chocolate Shop at 6449 Transit Road in Depew, will be offered at 10 a.m. Monday in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 263 Claremont Ave., Kenmore. Mrs. Muffoletto, who was born in Bradford, Pa., died Thursday (April 22, 1993) in St. Joseph Hospital. She and her late husband, Peter, opened their first Suzette's Chocolate Shop on Jefferson Avenue across from the old Memorial Stadium after World War II. In 1956, they moved the business to 2577 Bailey Ave. and, in 1968, moved it to Depew. After the death of her husband, she and her son, Peter, operated the shop until 1991 when it was sold. Mrs. Muffoletto was active in many organizations and had served as president of the Womens Association of Allied Beverage Industries and the Lafayette General Hospital Guild. At the time of her death, she was involved in planning a fund-raiser to benefit the Blind Association of Western New York. Survivors include her son, who lives in Chektowaga; and two sisters, Helen Neubert of Amherst and Minnie McEwen of Pendleton
