Could someone help me with a church, birth or other lookup for the above person or surname. My dilemma is that supposedly he was born in PA but I have no idea where. Other Brigance members were supposedly born around 1740 in PA as well. At that time, there were only 4 counties: Lancaster, Chester, Philadelphia and Bucks. I have searched in Philadelphia and Lancaster but I wonder when the counties split if the information went with another county outside of the Philadelphia area. Thanks!!!!! Can anyone tell me how to contact Larry Richmond, of Bradford? I understand he's involved with the Bradford Landmark Society and the McKean County Historical Society. The McKean County Orphans Court (not for "orphans," it's the name of that division) has marriage records from 1885 to the present. Their telephone number is 814/887.3260. They are computerized and can tell you instantly if the record you desire is filed with the County. Maureen M. Sheila, I have a Lena Belle McKinster who married Dave Jackson, then Will Richardson and then Ben Mosher.....Could this be the one? I don't recognize the Benedict name but I don't have all the names of all of my relatives. Lena Belle lived in Potter Co......Shinglehouse/Sharon Center area. She was the daughter of Joseph McKinster and Samantha Belle Jones McKinster and was later in Hamilton, Mo., Topeca Kansas, Eau Claire, WI and Minneapolis, Mn. where she died. Could you scan a copy? Could it be the Lena in my line? She would be my great aunt. Hi Sheila, I am sure you probably checked most of these....In census records where William appears, do they list the birth information on his parents? How about William's marriage and death certificates? Obit? I see from your website that his father owned a hotel. There would have been license applications with his father's name. Have you checked the 1840 Philadelphia Census records? How about Titusville 1860 Census? I found this in the Genforum Toy Family Genealogy: Possibly a brother to Major Toy?
