Lycoming County Experts: 1. The Meginnes History of Lycoming County states, on page 581, that in 1829 Jacob Bailey gave ground for a graveyard in Elimsport, Washington Township, "a short distance west of the village ... today it is a very pretty little cemetery". Does this cemetery still exist? If yes, where is it located, does it have an address, can it be visited, and is there any index of who is buried there? I have reason to believe that some of my WOODLEY and ERWIN ancestors were buried there. 2. Where may one find information about membership in the Pennsylvania Militia? I have some newspaper items from the Daily Gazette and Bulletin for 4/25/1827 and 6/8/1828 that refer to Abraham WOODLEY and Anthony WOODLEY as Capt. in the 17th reg. 1st battlion of the Pennsylvania Militia, and would like more information about their service. Thank you, Robert Woodley [email protected]
