I am looking for the parents of my ancestors Benjamin and Amos WRIGHT from Bucks County, PA, most likely in the area of Falls Township. There were four children in the family that we know about: Amos S. WRIGHT (b. 19 Oct 1790) who married Mary ENGLISH. Benjamin WRIGHT (b. 12 Apr 1794) who married Eunice FARNSWORTH in Lycoming County and was first married to an unknown woman in Bucks County. Thomas WRIGHT (b. 8 Sep 1796) who married Ann ENGLISH, sister of Mary ENGLISH. Mary WRIGHT (b. 1796 may have been 1780) who married Joseph MILNOR. Rebecca WRIGHT. At least Amos, Benjamin, and Mary eventually moved into Upper Fairfield Township, Lycoming County, PA. Thomas' family settled in Columbia County, PA. Mary WRIGHT came to Lycoming County in the Fall of 1819 according to a History of Lycoming County. A grave monument erected by Joseph WRIGHT MILNOR to honor his parents, Mary WRIGHT and Joseph MILNOR, noted that Mary WRIGHT MILNOR was a devout Quaker. There is also evidence that Thomas WRIGHT and Ann ENGLISH continued in the Quaker tradition. Amos and Benjamin do not appear to have been practicing Quakers as adults. We have scoured Quaker meeting records to no avail. We've found only one family that is a possible connection. They are listed in the Salem Monthly Meeting: Benjamin WRIGHT (1735-1811) and Ruth (1734-1813) There children were: Elizabeth, Stephen, Nathan, Peter, George, Thomas, William and Benjamin. Their child, Thomas WRIGHT (b. 1772), is a possibility for being the parent of these children. Has anyone researched this WRIGHT family? We have found MILNORs in the Falls Meetings but cannot find a connection. Any information would be much appreciated.
