While visiting the JV Brown library a couple of weeks ago, I found a folder about Lycoming County vitals titled: "Births, Deaths, Marriages, 1852-1853-1854, Compiled by Rhoda (English) Ladd from Microfilm Roll #148, Records located on file at William Penn Memorial Museum & Archives Bldg, Harrisburg PA. Microfilm ed. of the Vital Statistics 1825-54 record group. Records of the Dept. of State 1681-1975." Can anyone tell me the background of this listing? How far back were vitals kept and what vitals are available for Lycoming County? What is on microfilm roll #148? Why were only three years included in this listing? Any plans to extend a listing for Lycoming County beyond these three years? Etc. Curious, and anxious to learn more. Robert, from Bloomington Indiana
