    3. Mary Anne, I have no information on this Thomas Waltz. Do you know anything else about his family either ancestors or descendants, if so I would be quite interested in talking in more detail to you. I have two but they are both born in the 20th century. I have sent this message on to the Blooming Grove List as well as the Lycoming County List, hopefully we can find some answers for you. Thanks for your e-mail. Kevin L. I am researching Thomas Waltz, who shows up in Washington County, PA about mid-19th century. Although he was living in Washington, PA, he enlisted in the 57th Infantry, Company D, mustered in Tioga County, for the Civil War. I have verified that these two are the same person, as I have copies of Thomas's pension files. After the war, he returned to Washington, married Sarah Mountz, and had a number of children, one of whom (Robert E.) is my husband's greatgrandfather. I am assuming that Thomas had some ties to the Tioga/Lycoming area that led him to enlist there. Do you have any leads for me? Thanks, Mary Anne Waltz
