My PAULUS lineage starts with a John Henry PAULUS born 12 May 1892 in Silver Springs, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. He married Matilda Mod MORTON on 18 Feb 1915 in Hagerstown, Maryland. He died 9 Nov 1960 (Alzheimers) at "a Pennsylvania State Hospital" (quote from my mom). John and Matilda had the following children (basic information given, more detailed dates and some additional family information available: James David b: 1916 m. Esther R. d: 1978 (Cancer) Paul Nelson b: 1920 No spouse or children documented d: 1979 (Auto accident) Martha Matilda (still living) m. Henry TURNER Opal Alberta b: 1923 m. James M. SWEGER d: 1960 (Brain tumor) Edgar Walter b: 1925 m. Betty L. d: 1989 (Cancer) Stella Elizabeth b: 1927 m. SHEARER d: 1976 (Cancerous tumor) John Henry Jr. b: 1928 m. Martha E. d: 1990 (Hunting Accident/fell from a tree) Arlene Maybelle (still living - my grandmother 65/suffering from Alzheimers starting at age 60) Richard Eugene b:1932 d: 1972 (Cancer) Gladys Louise b: 1936 d: 1937 (Pneumonia) Patsy Ann b: 1937 d: 1937(Stillborn) Fred Gene "Freddy" (still living) I have found most of the deceased on the SSDI with the acception of John Henry Paulus Sr. and his spouse. Possibly one or two of the other children, but not many. Most were listed on the SSDI. I have very little background on this family. I have obituaries for some of the children and their information, but all I have on John is listed above. I have checked the Lycoming County USGenweb site and the Archive site of same and have found no Paulus' to date. If anyone has access to any Census records appropriate to this family, I would greatly appreciate knowing at least which census to look at. Thanks so much!
