My gr gr grandfather's brother Benjamin was married to Elizabeth Shaffer Fowler. After Ben died she married James Shoemaker of Montoursville. This would have been about 1872. Ben & Elizabeth's daughter Henrietta married Frank Shoemaker, the son of James in 1887. I don't know if this is any relationship to the Shoemakers you are looking for or not.
