I know that undoubtedly the best is a personal visit, but first, I'd like to have an idea as to whether or not they can help. I'm looking for info on Elizabeth Shoemaker Carter who died in 1851 at the home of her son-in-law, Samuel Kyle, in Milton. At the time of her death, she was a resident of Lycoming Co. even though she died in Northumberland Co. Sam K's wife was Sarah Jane Carter. I have some questionable info on Elizabeth's parents and would like to sort out the facts. Also, I'd give my right arm (at least my left arm!) to discover anything about her hsband, In the family, he was known as Christian Carter but I'm beginning to suspect that Christian was his middle name. Well, this is long and probably confusing, but thanks for your interest. Bottom line: yes, I'd like to know who your Shoemakers in the Muncy area were. Barbara
