New to this list. I am trying to find out how or if my 3rd greatgrandfather, Eli Jefferson Hagerman b. 13 Dec. 1822 in Waterford Twp. Washington Co. OH, is related to the Hagerman/Hageman families of Lycoming Co. I think he is related to Aaron Hageman and Asenath Sutton of Six Mile Run but I have conflicting data that one has William Hageman/Hagerman as a son and the other doesn't mention him. Same for James Hageman/Hagerman b. abt. 1778 I think there might have been a Peter Hagerman in that family as well. William came to Wash. OH in 1817 and was born in Lycoming Co. I have checked both these fellows and neither of them had my Eli. The reason I think they are related is that I found a gardianship record dated 1843 for Wash. Co. OH, James Legget was given gardianship of Eli J. Hagerman and some money was exchanged to the future father-in-law of Eli. (not sure what went on there) Eli was 21 at the time. Anyway, to make a long story short, this same James Legget married the daughter of William Hagerman mentioned above, her name was Hannah Hagerman. They married in 1850 same county and state. Would some kind person have access to historys & bio's that lists the names of all the children of all the Hagerman/Hageman families that lived in Lycoming Co. ? Any kind of help would be welcome.
