Sorry to take so long responding to your MILLER posting. I'm surprised to discover it appearing today in my mailbox. Quite mysterious. My Samuel D. MILLER is about 10 years older than yours and on the 1880 census is said to have been born in New York, although at that time, 1880, he was living in PA. I don't see another name that resembles mine strongly but I have wondered what brought an adult Samuel to PA. Perhaps he joined relatives there? Do you know of any connection between the MILLER families?
