    3. Jaime- Brown Twp is in the Northwest corner of Lycoming County. You can find it on an 1890 Lycoming County Map on the Lycoming County GenWeb Page, at the following: http://www.usgennet.org/usa/pa/county/lycoming/history/map2.jpg. A part of Pine Creek Township, Lycoming County (after 1795), became Dunstable township around 1808 and after 1839, passed into Clinton County, PA. The Lockport area of (then) Dunstable Township became a part of Woodward Township, Clinton County, in 1844, where it is located today. (From this website: http://www.geocities.com/pjbarton101/Adam3Brother.html). It looks like Woodward Twp, Clinton Co is north of Lock Haven, Clinton Co, and west of Jersey Shore, Lycoming Co. I used the USGS GNIS Map Site to locate this. It's one of my favorite map sites, and the map search page is located at the following: http://geonames.usgs.gov/pls/gnis/web_query.gnis_web_query_form. Hope this helps some. Good luck! 3. Joyce, Did you get any answers to your query. I don't have any connection to these names but I do have fond memories of Brownie camp at Winter's Cabin somewhere on a mountain around Williamsport. I also enjoyed many happy days at Raymond B Winter (Half-Way Dam) Park as a teenager and later doing family camping there with my kids. Good luck with your search. 3. Does anyone know of a Tomb that married a Keeler in this area? My grandmother Madeline Alice Keeler Bower( her parents were Walter Keeler, and Clella Lapoint) said that my gg grandmother was a Tomb, but she didn't remember their first names. On my grandmother's baptismal record an Asher Tomb signed as witness, if this helps any. 3. Good morning Patsy; It should be fairly easy to do. Generate a GEDCOM file from your info in Roots and save it to a different directory on your computer. Make a directory "Genealogy" that is not in the same directory that your Roots program is in, and save the GEDCOM file there. Then load your new program. Then you can COPY your GEDCOM file to FTM. Also, if you have any other info files that you want to save, move or copy them to the same Geno directory. Then after you are sure that FTM is working OK, the you can delete it. Good hunting; Bill Patsy A Read wrote: > I know this is not the PURPOSE of this list, but everyone always seems so > helpful, I'm hoping SOMEONE could help me on this problem. > > I have all my records in the Roots3 program. 2. hey! well i dont know, but its very possible. his daughter, my great grandmother, hattie, had a child to her first husband and named her adda. then hattie remarried to my great grandfather, eugene rook (his 2nd or 3rd marriage too). i remember aunt adda always sitting around grammies house knitting and smiling. she didnt talk to us kids much but she was nicer than hattie, hattie was just mean hehehe. and i couldnt figure out why she was always at grammies and why we called her aunt adda, like i had no idea how she was my (great )aunt when i was a little kid. its like no one was supposed to talk about prior marriages or something. i didnt even know my great granddad eugene was married before hattie until a few years ago when a distant relative out in idaho wrote me, he didnt know pap pap had remarried at all! and mom didnt know i was so interested in our genealogy, and now she and my aunt (her sis) give me all the dirt hehehe. whatcha got? michele ----- Original Message ----- From: Doug Hill <DEHill@paonline.com> To: <PALYCOMI-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, January 26, 2002 11:00 PM Subject: Re: Moon Family > > Michele, > > Is that the Henry Moon, s/o Jonathan and Martha (Frantz) Moon, b 1856, m Adda Smith? > > Doug Hill > > > > > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > > > > Subject: Re: new lister > > Date: Sat, 26 Jan 2002 12:17:43 -0500 > > From: <dolly@chilitech.net> > > To: PALYCOMI-L@rootsweb.com > > > > i wish i could say i had connections to your names, but i only have > > connections to huntersville with my names. moons. crazies hehehehe. great > > great grandfather was henry moon. his daughter hattie was my great > > grandmother. > > michele > > --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. 3. Thanks Jim: I found it on my trusty Lycoming County map. It is just north of Furnace run which I bet is where that furnace I mentioned was. 3. Ashley, I have a George FEDEROFF in my database. He was born about 1831 in PA and married Charlotte A Harris who was born about 1851, the daughter of John B and Abigail (OGDEN) HARRIS of Lycoming County. In 1880, George, Charlotte, and their two children Harry and Viola were living in Montoursville, where he was a blacksmith. With them was his widowed mother, Margaret, born about 1805. This is all I know of this family, but suspect that the surname could be FETTEROLF. I would like to know George's father's name, his mother's maiden name, and if he and Charlotte had other children. Do you have any information on Robert C SEITZ (1873-1946)? He and his wife Josie B WINNER (6 Feb 1877 - 1946) are buried in the Montoursville Cemetery. She was the daughter of James WINNER and Mary PITTENGER. There is a biography of H Y STITZER in the Commemorative Biographical Record of Central PA, 1898. It starts with his father, William, born in 1811 in Mifflinburg, Union Co, who married Judith Yearick, also of Mifflinburg. They moved to Millheim, Centre County. William died in 1873 in Bellefonte. Judith died in 1891. Their children were John 1834, Lydia 1835 married Bollinger, H Y 1837, William D 1838-1840, William W 1840, Sarah 1842 md Zerby, and Amelia 1844.
