    3. Thank you so much, Janet. Don't worry about 'jumping in' as you say. It is my belief that is the purpose of a "List." Don't you think? If it wouldn't trouble you too much, I was wondering if you could list the other Peppermans you found in the "Cemetery Series" book? Since we just recently found the info on the Pepperman's, your information filled a couple of blanks in our line and maybe we could fill more spaces. Is this book on-line yet? Yours gratefully, in searching & re-searching, Anita Fish Gohl Janet Nelson wrote: > I'm new to this list - so am not sure when I should jump in... > > I have many of the Lycoming County Cemetery Series books published by LCGS. > Volume VI includes Mifflin Township and the Salladasburg Cemetery. 3. Hello: My name is Bob Wescoatt from Chico, California, just starting my mother's family tree and am seeking information on my g-g-grandfather, George Hauke, who was born in Williamsport, Pa, 24 Sept 1818 and married a Martha Polhamus who was born in Williamsport, Pa, on 21 June 1823. I have the information on the Polhamus line but am seeking any information on the Hauke line. We have some information that the name originally may have been spelled Houck and possibly his parents may have come from Holland. I do not know the name or country of origin on his parents. Any information/help will be appreciated. Bob Wescoatt --------------------------------- Do You Yahoo!? Sign-up for Video Highlights of 2002 FIFA World Cup

    3. I'm new to this list - so am not sure when I should jump in... I have many of the Lycoming County Cemetery Series books published by LCGS. Volume VI includes Mifflin Township and the Salladasburg Cemetery. On page 66 the stones for John & Priscilla are listed as follows: Pepperman, Priscilla Jane w/o John d. Oct 14 1891 80y 5m 8d Pepperman, John b. Jan 27 1806 d. Mar 8 1854 (stone broken & partially underground) There are lots of Peppermans listed in the Salladasburg cemetery, but no William or no Elizabeth. 3. Anita, I would love to exchange info on the Peppermans with you. This is a very sad branch of the family John and Priscilla had 13 children, including a set of twins. I believe only two girls lived to adulthood. I don't have death dates for all of them, but the majority of them. I have found Elizabeth and her family in the 1870 Lycoming Co census. I have four children listed for them. From John I can go back another two generations. The original Pepperman served in the Rev. War and my line is approved through DAR. 3. Bev, I know who you are talking about. I have him listed as William McKey Pepperman. I don't show a child Clara. I show a Helen born about 1905. However; if Clara was born in 1900, there is a large gap with Bessie b. Aug 1897 and then Helen in 1905. I should try to find the 1900 census. William was the son of Adam. Ican go back another two generations from Adam. I would love to have info on Clara's brothers and sisters and going forward with your line. The Original Pepperman served in the Rev. War and I have it approved through DAR. 2. Pattee, This might be a lead for you. From "History of Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, 1892 by Meginness pg 347: Early Industrial Development The first boot and shoemaker of any note in the borough was Jeremiah Tallman, who, as early as 1799, opened the business in a frame shop on the southwest corner of Third and Pine Streets. ......................................
