Looking for information on a Reeder family living in Lycoming Co @ 1770's. Trying to find the parents of Martha Reeder who was married to William King. Thanks, Mary Donahue
Sandy, if I were you, I would call Sullivan Co. Court House on the phone and ask them about the 1905 death date and how Pas. Vital Records says they start only at 1906. Maybe there's some leeway in one place or the other. As for writing to Pa. Vital Statistics, they don't need all the info they ask for, like parents' names. Just the death date and name would give them enough. You can tell them "maybe" on the parents' names that you have. Send a check and if they can't find it, they'll send it back.
hi, hope someone can help. i send a letter to sullivan county court house to obtain a birth and death certificate for william ellis starr, born 12/21/1843 and died 9/4/1905. i sent a check and told them this information that he was born and died in hillsgrove, pa with the dates. i got my check back and an application to send to vital records in pa, no letter, just my letter back, and two applictions. now what do i do. pa vital records only have after 1906 the application asks for parents name, if i was sure of them i wouldn't need the birth certificate. i think his father was anthony starr born 9/13/1811 died 11/19/91 married hannah berger she was born 1/12/1815 died 9/23/1881 got this information second had, and told it was from history of sullivan county . wasn't sullivan county, lycoming county at that time. i don't know where to go or what to do now. any help would be appreciated. i can't come to pa to check this out even if i knew how. thanks for the help. sandy.

I am looking for any information on William Ellis Starr born Dec 21, 1843; His wife Maria Jane Green born August 20, 1847. I found them in the federal Census of 1900 in Hillsgrove, TWP and again in 1880 but couldn't find them before. I am interested in finding their ancestors. I have written for birth certificates but I believe that may take a long time. This is my grandfather (Clyde Raymond Starr)' father. Any help would be appreciated. Happy Hunting Sandy

Hi! My gggg-grandfather, Michael Stolz(Stoltz), came over on the ship "Cordelia" that sailed into Philadelphia's harbor in Oct. of 1806. I've seen his name on the passenger list. He settled in Newberry, Lycoming Co., PA and had three children. All I know of his wife was that her name was Ruth. Can anyone help me to find out what her maiden name was? Their children's names were William, Caroline and Sarah. Michael died 19 Sept. 1849 and was buried at the Old Lycoming Presbyterian Church according to the DAR. I don't know how to find out anything about his wife....whether she came over with him from Germany or he married her after he settled in Newberry. Please help anyone. Thank you. Benay (Stolz) Deckard
Hello there! If anyone has any information on the Lose family or the Renn family, please send it to me! I am attempting to do a geneological history of my family. I know my grandparents names were Peter Belles Lose and Isabel Renn. I don't have birth or death dates on either of my grandparents. Both passed away in Muncy. I know my grandmother has numerous brothers and sisters, but unfortunately, I don't have those names either. If any of you knew Ione Brant or know Elwood Brant, I am their neice. Thank you!!! I'm resending the following as I forgot to put in a subject. Sorry. I deliberately did not put in a date as I am interested in getting as complete a picture of this family as possible. Is anyone interested in the OSLER family? John Hinkle OSLER (born 4 Oct 1808) lived in Lycoming County in the early 1800s with his mother and stepfather Samuel BRYAN. Later he lived in Sullivan County but some of his children moved backed to Lycoming County. Judy Newman [email protected] Box 352 Garrett Park MD 20896-0352
