    3. Hi Gallagher: Last week I sent two queries: 1. One about the cemeteries in Elimsport, Washington Twp, Lycoming Co. Does anyone have a record of them, especially the one mentioned in Meginnes as started by Jacob Bailey in 1829, just west of the town. 2. The second one was asking about how one obtains information about ancestors who served in the Pennsylvania Militia in the 1830s, especially the 17th Battalion. I'm still looking. Thanks, Robert- On Sun, 13 Sep 1998, Gallagher wrote: > hi.. Just was wondering if anybody is on this list? 1. Why I'm on this list.
    2. Judith Newman
    3. Hi- I'm a quiet member of this list because my interests are rather tangential. (1) Sullivan County where my ancesters were was part of Lycoming County until 1846 when Sullivan County was formed. (2) I have two wives from the early days Jane Myers, born 23 Jan 1813 in Pennsylvania and Mary Ann Snyder born 8 Jly 1804 in New Jersey that I cannot connect with their families and especially in the case of Jane think that she was from a Lycoming County family. (3) Several of the Oslers ended up in Lycoming County and John Hinkle Osler lived for a time in Lycoming County with his mother and stepmother Catherine Hinkel and Samuel Bryan. (4) I would like to find something about Squire Warren who according to family papers married Jane Myers and John Hinkle Osler at Pennsdale. 2. Robert Woodley
    3. Lycoming County Experts: 1. The Meginnes History of Lycoming County states, on page 581, that in 1829 Jacob Bailey gave ground for a graveyard in Elimsport, Washington Township, "a short distance west of the village ... today it is a very pretty little cemetery". Does this cemetery still exist? If yes, where is it located, does it have an address, can it be visited, and is there any index of who is buried there? I have reason to believe that some of my WOODLEY and ERWIN ancestors were buried there. 2. Where may one find information about membership in the Pennsylvania Militia? I have some newspaper items from the Daily Gazette and Bulletin for 4/25/1827 and 6/8/1828 that refer to Abraham WOODLEY and Anthony WOODLEY as Capt. in the 17th reg. 1st battlion of the Pennsylvania Militia, and would like more information about their service. Thank you, Robert Woodley [email protected]

    2. Carmen Finley
    3. Hi--- I am interested in the family of Daniel Will who appeared in the 1850 Clearfield County census. At that time he was 56 years of age, with wife, Mary, age 57. Three children were still living in the home: Daniel, 16; John, 14; and Susannah, age 11. There was also a daughter, Elizabeth Will, b. about 1820, who married David Bobst. The Bobsts were living in Clinton County in 1850. Daniel Will had at least a total of 13 children. The Wills were living in Lycoming County in the 1840 census and may have come from Berks County before that. Would like to compare notes with anyone interested in this line. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Carmen J.
