Brian- That is interesting that you found an Ann Grange, b. 1777, who married Wm. Tackaberry Sr... Do you happen to know of her siblings or parents? Are there any other Granges buried in that Susquehanna Campground grave yard? I wonder if she is a sister of William Grange, b. 1757 in Yorkshire, Eng., and died in 1847 in Muncy, Lycoming Co.... -Shirley Grange [email protected]

Am researching the GRANGE surname in Lycoming and Sullivan counties. Would like to hear from anyone with any Grange info. Don't know how this list works, but I think it would be interesting and helpful if people answered one another on this list rather than privately. On the Alleghany Co. list some fascinating discussions have taken place. Everyone can learn from them. I spent a day in Muncy, Pa. this summer and another day in Williamsport. -.S. Surnames I'm searching in the Lycoming County area (I was born in Muncy) include Hill, Koons, App, Dewald, Snyder, Nevel, Lockhard. Also saw a recent post of someone who has Beiber, Buck, Fague and Van Dine -- I have a couple of those too, along with Houseknecht, Poust, and others. Doug Hill
Margaret, Not sure if we've corresponded before. One of my Lycoming-area lines is Koons, specifically Jonathan and David Koons, who moved to the Lycoming County, PA area in the early 1800s, ancestry unknown. I believe they were brothers, but this is a supposition based on age, time of move to Lycoming County, proximity of households, and so on. Jonathan was born 4 April 1809 and married Catharine Bender on 14 January 1830, probably in Lycoming County, PA; children Samuel, Susan, John, Aaron and William. David was born 11 March 1818 and married Mary Delaney on 20 January 1848 in Lycoming County, PA; children William Miles, Nathan Callen, Joseph Kennard (my second great grandfather), and Elizabeth May. I'm at a dead end, although I recently came across a Michael Kuntz in Turbotville, a Rev veteran. He and others are in a Lutheran Church cemetery southwest of town, and I haven't had time to do any more tracking. How do you fit in?
