Could you possibly do a look-up for me of any EUTERMARKS/YUTAMARK/ UTERMARKS/UTTERMARKS in the area near White Pine and English Center. I hope the book contains information about this area north east of Jersey Shore. I believe that family members living in this area may have been the reason that my relatives JOHN, GEORGE H., and SIMEON EUTERMARKS came to the Williamsport area around 1861. It is possible that they came because of Peter HERDIC who was a lumberman in the Williamsport area who came from the same town( Ft. Plain) in Montgomery County NY as John EUTERMARKS. I would greatly appreciate any help you might be able to provide. Please bear with me as I provide the information I do know about Lycoming County EUTERMARKS. I hope you can help me with the names of the EUTERMARKS who lived in the two hollows which I will describe below. Acording to the US Geological survey there is a EUTERMARKS HOLLOW and a YUTAMARK HOLLOW north of Williamsport. It is my understanding that a EUTERMARKS family owned the land on which EUTERMARKS HOLLOW is located. This piece of land is located on the south side of present day Rt. 284 about one mile from the confluence of the Texas and Blockhouse Creeks on land now owned by the Texas and Blockhouse Hunting Club. It is north east of White Pine at Latitude 412824N; Longitude 0771882W. YUTAMARK HOLLOW is closeby. It is west and a little south of EUTERMARKS HOLLOW. It is near English Center with a branch of water running north to south between English Center to the west and YUTAMARK HOLLOW on the east. I do not know when EUTERMARKS occupied these pieces of land ,but I know it was prior to 1900 since the Texas and Blockhouse Hunting Club was purchased around 1900 and some members think EUTERMARKS were there prior to the purchase. I have found three Eutermarks relatives in Williamsport. John EUTERMARKS ( according to Meginness' History of Lycoming County Pennsylvania, 1892, Brown, Runh and Co.)was b. in Montgomery Co NY Sept. 24, 1841, came to Williamsport in 1861 to read law with Maynard and Willard and was admitted to the bar August 24, 1864. He died in the Fall of 1886.According to the 1870 census John m. Lucy I. ( also listed as Lucy J.R. Eutermarks and had the following children:Harry b. about 1866; Enice (Encie) b. about 1869; Lucy b. Dec. 1870 or Jan. 1871 d. 7/18/71. The 1870 census also lists John's brother SIMEON EUTERMARKSb.10/1839 NY m.Allice b. 9/1848 NY with the following children born in PA: Guy b. 1884, Emma b. 1887, Viola b, 1892. They had two children in NY Roseltha b.1867 and Willard b.1870. There is also a GEORGE H. EUTERMARKS from NY who I think is also John's brother. He married Mary J. ? who died 5/20/1875 and then m. Nancy Huey 3/30/1876. Later in the 1900 census there are a William EUTERMARKS b. May 1870 in NY m.12/14/1894 Elizabeth (Lizzie) Meredith b. 4/1874 in PA. In this same census there is a Georg EUTERMARKS b.10/1877 PA with one child Raymond S. b. 9/1891 8/1878 in PA m. Eldel?W. b. 10/1877 with one child Raymond S. b. 8/1891. I am not sure how these EUTERMARKS are connected.
Dear Barb B. Would appreciate if you could see if anything in 'THE TIADAGHTON TALE' on the JOHNSON 's of Jersey Shore, Lycoming Co. Penn. My gr gr grf was Samuel Johnson, whose wife was Lydia Westfall. They had several ch. born in Penn., but I'm not sure if it was Jersey Shore or someplace near-by. Samuel's obit states that he was born in Jersey Shore in 1810. >From info on census records, (children's ages and b. places) they migrated to Ohio between 1849 and 1856. If you can find ANYTHING about this family, it will help tremendously! I have the book, THE TIADAGHTON TALE, and will do lookups. The book is about Jersey Shore and many small towns in the area and contains some tax lists (including the early settlers on Pine Creek) and local census data for 1850. BarbB

Hello Everyone! It has been a while since I posted my surnames and since there are some new people I thought I would get this out in front of everyone again. I don't remember if I have thanked everyone that has helped so Far if I haven't I apologize for my neglect and would like to thank you all for your assistance. The idea is that JOHANN CONRAD LORSBACH/LORSCHBACH/LORSBACHIO is the emigrant and GEORGE (abt. 1755) and HENRY LUSHBAUGH (b. 1751) are his sons. But that still to be proven. I am looking for information on JOHANN CONRAD LORSBACH/LORSCHBACH/LORSBACHIO. He was born in Lampertheim on Dec. 09, 1722. JOHANN CONRAD was the Twin of CARL LUDWIG LORSBACH/LORSCHBACH/LORSBACHIO. JOHANN CONRAD acted as a Godfather 16 Sept. 1729. By that time he was 7 years old. The entry read "JOHANN CONRAD the little son of the late parson JOHANN HENRICH of this village....." The family that he acted as godfather for was JOHANN GEORG and ANNA MARITHA HAUCK. The little HAUCK was also named JOHANN CONRAD, of course. The last church record found in Germany for JOHANN CONRAD LORSBACH is in 1737. So close as I can figure is that somewhere between 1737 and 1748 JOHANN CONRAD LORSBACH immigrated to America. I know it was 1748 because that was the year that JOHANN CONRAD married SUSANNA HERB in the Faulkner Swamp Reformed Church on November 17, 1748. There is no indication right now that JOHANN and SUSANNA knew each other before moving to this country. JOHANN CONRAD LORSBACH/LORSCHBACH/LORSBACHIO is found in Sower's Newspaper 16, October 1749, the following appeared: "JOHANN CONRAD LORSCHBACH, near the stone church. Old Goshengoppen." The only other reference to JOHANN CONRAD LORSBACH/LORSCHBACH/LORSBACHIO is in the will of JACOB HAUCK. I would like to find a copy of that other LORSBACH family members may be mentioned in it. After this JOHANN and his wife SUSANNA just disappear. I don't know of any children, tax-records or any entry in some death register. The idea occurs to me that maybe HENRY and GEORGE could not remember their parents because they became orphans when they were still to young to remember what had happened to them. This brings back something I heard once about 2 little Loshbaugh boys were the only survivors of a whole family and where helped along by other people. Since I don't recall a time period for that story or really much more than that perhaps the story was about GEORGE and HENRY. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Okay now on to HENRY LUSHBAUGH born 1751 in Northumberland, PA (I think has not really been proved yet). I do know that he lived in Lycoming, PA in 1820. Once believed to be the immigrant ancestor from Alsace-Lorraine or from German-speaking area of Switzerland. Served in the 12th Pennsylvania German Regiment for three years enlisting from Sudbury, Penn in 1776 first wife CATHERINE from whom our Loshbaughs descend. Was a private in CAPT. JOHN HARRIS' company COL WILLIAM COOK'S 12th Pennsylvania regiment. Battles of Piscataway and Ash Swamp Revolutionary War. He enlisted a Sunbury, Pennsylvania in 1776 and served 3 years. He was a shoemaker and a farmer. That is about all that I have. It is more than what I did have. Some of the information came from those of you that have helped me other is following leads that may have been provided knowingly or unknowingly. Thanks! Bob Loshbaugh from out ere in California

Hi fellow searchers. I am new to this list and hope some of you may be able to help me. I am more than glad to help anyone I can also. I am looking for info on Aaron Hagerman born 1754 in Holland or NJ and lived in Lycoming County and raised his children. He was married to Aseneth Sutton. Then his son Isaiah Hagerman who was married to Rebecca Drake. Rebecca is very elusive. She was supposed to be a very prominent school teacher in the area but I can't seem to find her anywhere. Then , Isaiah's son Joseph Lyon Hagerman. Joseph was married to sisters, Mary and Charlotte Hafer. If anyone is familiar with these people I would truly appreciate hearing from you. I have lots and lots of info, but I also have many holes to fill. Thanks in advance for any help Carolyn Hagerman Boise, Idaho [email protected]

Query: Pleasant Hill cemetery has a WOODLEY plot, with a large marker with the name WOODLEY in the center. Several Woodleys are buried there, including Ann FARLEY, wife of Abraham WOODLEY, who died Sept 22, 1864. Also in this plot are several KISNERs, including Sarah A. KISNER (1863-19bb), William L. KISNER (1862-1938), Margaret KISNER (1897-1917), and Walter L. KISNER (1894-1953). Although I am primarily interested in the Woodley line, I am curious as to where the Kisner line fits in. I suspect the Kisners married in to a grand daughter of Abraham Woodley but have no documentation. Would appreciate any information, suggestions, leads concerning the surname KISNER that might help me make this connection. Many thanks. Robert in Indiana
