    3. Catherine McAFFE (born 1844) first appears in the 1850 Lycoming Co. census for Oval, Nippenose Valley, Limestone Twp., as six years old living with a John E. and Catharine BUCHER. Buchers were from Lebanon Co. C. McAFFE evidently was an orphan. She later married my gr-grandfather, Levi SATTESON, then living in Northumberland Co (Turbot Twp.). Sattesons were originally from Lebanon Co. also. How did Levi meet Catherine? What's the Lebanon connection? Who was Mrs. Bucher - could she have been a McAFFE? No other McAFFEs in the county at the time. Who were mom and dad? Tony Seidel in Sonora, CA [email protected]

    1. DONNELs in Lycoming County, Pennsylvania
    2. John R Vermeer
    3. Hello, I am attempting to prove or disprove a link between my wife's DONNEL ancestry and the DONNELs in PA around 1800. My wife is a descendant of John Mabry DONNEL, b abt 1801 in TN (according to census records). He married Elizabeth JERNIGAN, Cir 1819 in TN. He later moved from TN to IL and had a large family. I am interested in any DONNEL connections in PA. Right now I know about a Charles G. DONNEL, b 14 Mar 1801 in Williamsport, PA. Does anyone have information on his parents/siblings. I've heard that Henry DONNEL, father of Charles G. DONNEL, had a brother, John DONNEL. I'm, obviously, interested in any DONNEL/MABRY marriages. Since that *may* be the source of John Mabry DONNEL's middle name. Thanks, John Vermeer [email protected] ___________________________________________________________________ You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail. 3. It has come to my attention that there may not be a Silver Springs, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. The USGS Mapping service does note one there, but there's a chance that could be wrong, and I would accept the possiblity that Silver Springs may not exist in Lycoming County, PA. I would like to thank those of you who wrote. My genealogy search would be for nothing if I had been looking in the wrong county the whole time!! haha! :O) I will be posting queries to the Perry County and Cumberland County listserves and/or county pages sometime in the future, as some of the children of John Henry PAULUS have definate birth and death places around those areas. I am almost certain that all of his children were born in PA but that is purely speculation at this time. Thank you for your time and patience! :o) ======================================= Loni (Adams) Voorhis ADAMS ANDREWS ANDRUS/ANDDRUS BASTIAN BERSTLER/BOERSTLER/BURSTLER/BORSTLER BROWN(E) CALEY CAMPBELL FISCHER HOFFER KAYLOR KEMP KENDALL KNIGHT LESHER MCCLELLAN MORTON and PAULUS Genealogy pages: Surnames A-G: http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Fields/4390/roots.html Surnames H-N: http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Fields/4390/rootshn.html Surnames O-Z: http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Fields/4390/rootsoz.html Do you have a page at Geocities with Genealogy on it? 2. Loni Voorhis
    3. My PAULUS lineage starts with a John Henry PAULUS born 12 May 1892 in Silver Springs, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. He married Matilda Mod MORTON on 18 Feb 1915 in Hagerstown, Maryland. He died 9 Nov 1960 (Alzheimers) at "a Pennsylvania State Hospital" (quote from my mom). John and Matilda had the following children (basic information given, more detailed dates and some additional family information available: James David b: 1916 m. Possibly one or two of the other children, but not many. Most were listed on the SSDI. I have very little background on this family. I have obituaries for some of the children and their information, but all I have on John is listed above. I have checked the Lycoming County USGenweb site and the Archive site of same and have found no Paulus' to date. If anyone has access to any Census records appropriate to this family, I would greatly appreciate knowing at least which census to look at. Thanks so much!

    3. To Ola and others interested in Jersey Shore area research: THE TIADAGHTON TALE was published in 1975 by Scaife's Valley Press in Williamsport. It was a project of the Jersey Shore Historical Society. Doubt that it's sill in print. And to Ola, there are no MOYER names mentioned (it doesn't cover all years and practically nothing of genealogical value after 1851). A Martin, Susan and Philip MOYERS are listed. BarbaraB
