    1. [PALUZERN] need help with Polish around Nanticoke
    2. Hi Listers, Well, here is what I am looking for. I have an Alexander Malachowski/Maylock born mar 1864 in Prussia according to census. Now he lived in Nanticoke died I think sometime between 1900 and 1902. He was married to a Anna/Antoinette Nogic. After Alexander died Anna married Joseph Zukowski. Here is where I need the help! 1. Can anyone suggest an alternate spelling for Malachowski, it is spelled different in the census. 2. If someone was of Polish descent around 1900 which churches in Nanticoke would they have been buried in. 3. If anyone can give me any pointers I would appreciate it. Also if you know of any sites that would help me doing research online about the Polish community of Nanticoke and the history I would love it. 4. Any tidbit or anything about would be helpful to help me understand a little more about the Polish community in Nanticoke around 1900. 5. Is there a historical society for the Polish in Nanticoke. Would you please email me directly so I dont tie up the list AND THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP! Nancy

    3. Holy Trinity Catholic Church 520 South Hanover Street Nanticoke, PA 18634 Saint Stanislaus Catholic Church 38 West Church Street Nanticoke, PA 18634 Both of the above are Polish Catholic Churches. Both are walking distance of West Noble Street, Nanticoke where your Malachowski/Maylocks lived. Holy Trinity cemetery is also close by. There is also another church on East Noble, St. Joseph's. But, this is a Slovak Church but is also Catholic so if the two Polish Churches do not pan out you can try St. Joseph's. ----- Original Message ----- From: <Nannie1331@aol.com> To: <PALUZERN-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, December 09, 2006 9:15 PM Subject: [PALUZERN] need help with Polish around Nanticoke > Hi Listers, > > Well, here is what I am looking for.
