Hello Nancy, Here is the website for Nanticoke. You may have good luck contacting Julianna, president of the Historical Society. Check out the online History link. http://www.nanticokepa.com/index.htm Rebecca ----- Original Message ----- From: Nannie1331@aol.com To: PALUZERN-L@rootsweb.com Sent: Saturday, December 09, 2006 9:15 PM Subject: [PALUZERN] need help with Polish around Nanticoke Hi Listers, Well, here is what I am looking for. I have an Alexander Malachowski/Maylock born mar 1864 in Prussia according to census. Now he lived in Nanticoke died I think sometime between 1900 and 1902. He was married to a Anna/Antoinette Nogic. After Alexander died Anna married Joseph Zukowski. Here is where I need the help! 1. Can anyone suggest an alternate spelling for Malachowski, it is spelled different in the census. 2. If someone was of Polish descent around 1900 which churches in Nanticoke would they have been buried in. 3. If anyone can give me any pointers I would appreciate it. Also if you know of any sites that would help me doing research online about the Polish community of Nanticoke and the history I would love it. 4. Any tidbit or anything about would be helpful to help me understand a little more about the Polish community in Nanticoke around 1900. 5. Is there a historical society for the Polish in Nanticoke. Would you please email me directly so I dont tie up the list AND THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP!
