Hi Mary Ellen, You have Daniel Woods as married to Mary Massaker. Daniel ( dob 1838 ) was married to Nancy Jane Barber. He was in the Civil War and returned to the mines when the war was over. He was indeed killed at Avondale in 1869. I have some information on the Woods Family We have shared Miller/Massaker information in the past.
