>From Wilkes Barre Record, Monday, 22 Apr 1891, Page 5 At 8:30 yesterday morning Charles W. Evans, a well known citizen of Edwardsville, employed in No. 4 breaker of the Kingston Coal Co., by some unfortunate mishap fell into the coal crushing machinery, and when extricated was a shapeless mass of human flesh, utterly unrecognizable. He was a man who, at one time, held quite a prominent position, and was boss of one of the largest breakers of the Kingston Coal Co. He was 55 years of age, and leaves a family of eleven children, several of who are adults. He was a native of Tredegar, Wales, but has been a resident of Wyoming Valley for over twenty years. He has a brother carrying on an extensive business in his native town.
