I've "rescued" an old photograph of Ezra A. TUTTLE which was taken at the W. H. Bennet Studio in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1860's or 1870's with Ezra noted as 16 years old at the time. I was able to locate Ezra in the 1870 census records as a Farm Laborer on two separate farms, one with the Harriet E. MILLER Family in Hanover, PA, and the other with the Alexander LINDRUM Family in Sugar Notch Boro, PA. Both records note that Ezra was 18/19 years old at the time and was born in New York State. I am hoping to locate someone from Ezra's family so that this wonderful old photograph can be returned to the care of his family. I do that and have located not only missing relatives but helped make many connections! In fact, a posting on roots web resulted in my grandfather being reunited with his mother's family after 95 years!!!! post the photos wherever you can, somebody will find it eventually.
