Hello, read your e-mail and was wondering if you have any Davenports in your family? My great grandfather was Chester Davenport b. Feb. 7,1825 in Plymouth Twp. Luzerne County, Pa. he died December 6.1854. Chester was the son of Daniel Davenport and Mary (Polly) Nesbitt, he married Ellen Hurley Frick b. Feb.5, 1831 daughter of James Frick and Jane Mcgee. Daniel Davenport was the son of Thomas Davenport and Charity Lamoreaux. Chester and Ellen had one child William Chester Davenport b. April 18,1855 in Wilkes Barre, Pa. died July 8, 1933 in Bloomsburg, Pa. he married Adeline Hicks daughter of William Hicks and Anna Varner. Addie Hicks was born Sept. 3, 1872 in Salem Township Luzerne Co. Pa and died 1947. Together they had 14 children.
