Hi, My 4th great grandparents Henry McCracken and Abigail Black had the following children: 1)Abigail, born 1770, my 3rd ggrandmother, married William Smith on April 5, 1792 in Shermans Valley, Perry Cnty. William Smith was born Mar. 1, 1770 in Wales, near Garating, England. 2) Samuel, born about 1772 3)Rebekah, born about 1774 4)John, born about 1776 Abigail and Samuel McCracken were born in Cumberland Cnty., Rebekah and John McCracken were born in Sunbury. I believe that Henry McCracken was born in 1725. Does anyone know the birth place of Henry McCracken and was he married prior to his marriage to Abigail Black? He died on Sept. 24, 1780 in North Umberland Cnty. Does anyone have any information regarding Samuel McCracken? During 1798 Alezander Clark conveyed 4 acres of land in Tyrone Twp.& Juanita Twp., Cumberland Cnty. to William & Abigail Smith. The 1800 Fed. census shows William Smith living in Wysox Twp., Luzerne Cnty., with 5 children in the home and 2 adults. The 1810 Fed. Census shows a William Smith in Ulster Twp., Lycoming Cnty., with 9 children in the home up to the age of 26, and 2 others, in the age bracket to be William and Abigail Smith. Does anyone know the names of the children of Abigail and William Smith? I can not find them on the 1820 census. William & Abigail Smiths son, Howard S. Smith( my gggrandfather) was born May 10, 1810 in Bradford Cnty., Penns. Howard married Azubah about 1829 and they had several children. Azubah's last name may have been Nelson.
