I am new to this list and wondered if there was a site for Catholic Churches in Wilkes Barre. I am interested in a church that would have been in existence in 1884. These ancestors were Italian, so I imagine if there was an Italian church, that would be my first choice. Also, from what we can determine they were in Wilkes Barre from 1884 to maybe 1899. Was there a census during that time period? I am looking for Mattia/Mathew De Melchior and his wife Teresa Pittaluga or Teresa Mason and their children. Thank you, Joanne Darcy Chicopee, MA
