I've been observing this Luzern Co site for over a month now and I have yet to see any mention of Freeland. The family I am searching is Patrick and Mary (Ferry) Harvey. They had at least one child, Charles Borromeo Harvey who was born in 1888 in Freeland. That is all the information I could come up with from my family. Maybe someone can tell me what kind of a community Freeland was and if it still exists. Where is it located? What township might that be? Freeland is in Foster Twp. in Luzerne Co. Yes, it still exists. Ancestry.com has some info about the census. You have to purchase a subscription to view the census image. Freeland still exists and is located just outside Halzeton in southern Luzerne County.
