Just wanted to let everyone know that the Luzerne County Historical Society's Bishop Memorial Library will be closed beginning Sunday, March 4th through Tuesday, March 13th. The Library will open for regular business at Noon on Wednesday, March 14th. The staff is in the process of cleaning, organizing, and painting, all in an effort to make it more user friendly. They will also be installing new carpeting! The library is located at 49 South Franklin Street in Wilkes-Barre, and is an excellent source for historians and genealogists. They have thousands of old books, family histories, photographs, maps, and much, much more - dating back hundreds of years.
